Local Tracks
Both the Virginia Military Institute and Washington and Lee University outdoor 400m tracks are generally open to the public, with the exception of game days and specific team practice times. Please be respectful of other people using the track and remember to move out of lane one if there are other runners going at a faster pace than you.
Parking is available for the VMI track along Main Street. For the W&L track, some visitor parking is available at the East Denny Circle parking garage and on West Nelson Street adjacent to the garage.
There is also a public track at Camden Field in Buena Vista at the corner of 10th Street and Magnolia. The track is fine gravel, approximately a quarter of a mile long. Public restrooms are available seasonally. There is free parking adjacent to the track.
